Chillax

We've decided to have for ourselves, a chill out day. No worries, no rushing. Just going with the flow wherever the wind blows. After having my disastrous viva, we departed for Penang at around 3.
Popiah!! Try it!

We went for some popiah on macalister road. Know the famous sisters char kuey teow? This is just a stall nearby, sold by an old auntie who offered us her chair when we said we wanted to stand an eat. How nice. The popiah was nice too. It's different than usual because after she slice it, she will soaked it with some hot mengkuang juice. It brings out both the taste and the aroma.

After that, we came here: for some feel good time.

The Building, Dodgy?
The bowler

We went bowling!! It's been years since sue bowled or so she says. And it's been months since i last played with my friends. It's something we dont usually do in kl.

Sue lining up for her attempt to avoid the longkang!
Sorry, but we have nicer things to play. But i find bowling to be rather pleasant. It's super fun when you strike. And it's super fun when you see her bowl into the longkang. Gahaha, guess she was really telling the truth.

Longkang attempt
This my friends, is my striking attempt. To sum it up, Sue got below hundred and me above hundred by a lil. It's good cheap fun. RM4 per game and you get to spend some relaxing time.

Sue had a strike once and she said she did that because she imagined my face on all the pins. Hmmm,

Damn.
The counter of the Penang bowl, looks. Cincai. XD. hey, the receipts are handwritten and they have a scanner to scan the codes on the receipts!

DAMN SKEMA!

After some exercise, yes sue regarded that as an exercise. I don't know why, don't ask me! We went to fulfill our greediness. Yes, we are a greedy couple.

This is the flame of vengeance. RAWR!!!!

It was exactly as thin as in the picture.
With it, we will cook some Woo Sam Kyup. Slices of marbled beef. Looks kinda thick for a slice.
This is totally different from that in the pcture
and some Sam Kyub-Sal,  Thin slices Pork belly!

Insufficient side dishes, all Free!
The side dishes. You are given more in KL, Here, you can even count them with your fingers and most of them are not very nice. The evergreen kimchi was, acceptable.

Pork belly + tofu + egg thick Soup.

Jjigae means a thick soup, it's has a stronger taste and smell than just normal soup. Also more spicy. We ordered a Soon-dubu-Jjigae and it was AWESOME! Pork belly, Tofu and Egg. Made an excellent match. The tofu was so soft you almost cant feel it in your mouth and the egg just. Ughh,.. Orgasmic.

But we actually ordered the seafood thick soup. Bummer

 Tasty, beef was better.
After being a chef for the night for my lady, i placed my cookings on the plate to be devoured. It was satisfying to see your food cooked after a long process.

Vege now you see
Fold it with some greens. I reckon i eat the most vegetables when i'm eating korean. Every slice of pork is wrapped with vegetables. Add into it some garlic and some sauces and it's ready.....
In my mouth you go
To be stuffed into your mouth. I honestly cannot imagine how a girl can be eating korean gracefully. There's just no way.

After we were already bloated and yet there was still a quarter of everything to go. (Hence the greediness) The waiter broguht us some pancakes!
Surprise Surprise!

It looks simple, it's looks dry but the taste was surprisingly not too shabby. It must go with the sauce else you will find it to be a little dry. The chilli gravy wasnt too spicy and just blends in with the pancake. Surprise of the day.

The champion of the day was indisputably

The winner of em all! Jjigae!

Jjigae!!! For RM17 per bowl you get a free rice and those free side dishes. You can actually order 1 and eat for tomorrow's breakfast. Trust me, i saw some girls doing it. It's blardy good! I mean the taste, not the price.

At the end of the end, we went to find the G-spot. You know it's there but you're just not sure if it's really there. Deciding not to waste any time, we got in and i asked the doorman where's G-spot. He pointed us to the right direction and we arrived!

So dark, so cozy, so nice
Non-smoking with a house band playing, The music isnt your usual R&B or House music. The vocalist was an invited guest from overseas and his voice is just melodious. The songs he sang was kinda old school but i know some of it.

The couch we sat on was in a curved U-shape and we surmised at how it'll be super fun if we got all our friends here and just sat and talk cock for a night. How sad when we realized we don't have that many friends to fill the seats. LOL, In my face.

I enjoyed myself alot just sitting there sipping on my G-dream with my lady beside me sipping on her Cosmo. It was more relaxing than having a good sleep.

RC done and over

After weeks and nights of slaving in the cafeteria, it has finally come to a closure. Looking at the binded document brings smiles to our faces. It's finally done.

It's finally finished. Only thing left is the interrogation on friday. Luckily blowing water is one of my abilities. He he

AttP

I am beginning to feel that i might have some attp. I hope it's not serious or that I discovered this too late else i might have alienated one too many. I'm actually not too sure of what attp i'm facing but i'm pretty sure it exists.

Having an infusion of afterthought brought this to my attention. Maybe i speak too little, or too much. Or i speak at the wrong time. Maybe it's not a speech thing even. Something more drastic?

Hmmmmm, this will take some time to remedy. I'll have to find out what attitude problem it is in the first place.

Penang's 1st Bk @ Promenade

A few days back, Penang finally has their FIRST Burger King. For some reason or another, they have never tasted a whopping burger or some swiss mushroom.

Losers.
We have so many Bk's in kl that we don't even want to enter without a choice.

So to get into the groove and since Baby will be putting on her braces that day, we went and join in the wave to burger king Penang @Promenade Sg Pinang.

 Lousy

I got myself a Whopper while Sue tried the Mushroom swiss. Very much like Penang-kia, this kampung girl had not tried Burger king before either. I am pretty sure she was more excited about eating in bk than getting orthodontics.

My whopper was a disaster. This must be ugliest and most distasteful Whopper i have ever eaten. The meat was over-cooked and the additions lacking. I was truly disappointed when i compared to the Bk i had last.
Pretty good

Penang people plz do not write off Bk just yet. Although Bk's famous whopper you cannot enjoy in full, you may savour the cheesy mushroom swiss. It was good. End of story.
Good, but not very

We had extras too, onion rings (A&W's are way much better) and mozarella cheese sticks. The mozi's was okay, taste was lacking a little though.

Overall this food trip was a disaster. Trust me Penangites, you have not tasted the best of Bk yet!

Badminton is his passion, a little tooo much

This is my friend, he was supposed to play badminton for this hostel this weekend but he ended up in the hospital instead. He was actually dancing on the court when he tripped over his own leg.
Pity... guess he wont be playing after all. His ligament was pulled.
Pitifulnya,....
Dont he look pitiful ?

I  am reluctant to show you his current picture.

We waited in the blardy hospital for an hour before he was finally checked upon by a male nurse. I'm pretty sure he wasnt even a doctor.  We were then sent on our away 30 mins later after he underwent some quick physio and an injection.

On reaching campus, his eyes started to swell and his speech different from normal. We sent him up to his room still but waited for awhile more. His eyes was getting worse and his throat was getting numb making it hard for him to speak or swallow his own saliva.

His eyes were so red and swollen that you cant even see his eyes!! and his throat! I couldnt even hear what he trying to say. Nahh, exaggerated a little. It was swollen but you could still see the eyeballs. A little anyway. His speech was coherent enough to ask me to call see yan to do his lab report. XD What a nerd!

We then sent him back to the hospital where he was admitted without wait. That's good, for once. Stupid inefficient hospital. He then had to wait another hour before we were notified that he had to'masuk wad' and was told to wait to registed him.

We waited for another 20-30 mins whence we became restless and pissy. We were smelly and dirty after playing volleyball and hadnt had much good food to eat. Teikz then talk to a nurse who said friends cant register for him. Stupid inefficient hospital!!!!!

We finally left the hospital at 12.

Parit buntar hospital need some serious efficiency upgrade,

Birthday Dinner

Mushy alert! I've toned it down way way way alot. But somethings just had to be said. Like I love yie sue. ;)

On last Friday, we drove to Penang island to a restaurant which she didnt want to tell me but she wasnt really sure of the road. Somehow we managed to get there anyway. Anyhow, she brought me here:

At batu Ferringhi as the name suggests,

Because she wanted to snap pictures where she looked really good.

She's so happy, it's her profile pic!

Ferringhi Garden on first sight looks like a forest, They even sport a bar surrounded with trees. Talk about convenient bollywood dancing when you're drunk.

George of the jungle's bar.
The ambience was on seating very good. It was calm an peaceful and romantic too. Dim lights with no noise or loud music. It was perfect to chit chat and have the world to ourselves.

It was so dim that they had to put a reading light on my menu:

Studying menu, boy im nerdy.

I would write an essay on how good that place looks but it'll just bore me to death.

After going through that thick menu, it took us about 20 mins to decide on what we wanted. Wagyu beef was very tempting. But at 200 per plate, it was sorta outta reach...... for now.

First to be served was Cream of Wild Mushroom

Wild Mushroom went roaming elsewhere but in the soup.

To me, it was rubbish. Not very creamy and it didnt taste like mushroom. Maybe it was a blend of tastelessness with some crutons just to add to the non-flavour. She liked it though. Actually it wasnt too shabby. It is acceptable if you wanted a non-mushroom mushroom soup. =)

I had for myself a Norwegian Seafood Soup.

Delicious!!!!

A little on the sour side but it was very appetizing. The soup had lots of prawns and salmon but it blended well with the taste. You could seriously taste prawn, salmon and butter with every sip you take. The taste however is not ordinary. I recommend this to those who like seafood and can accept weird things - in a good way.- Does not apply to Sue since she prefers the mushroom still.

Coming together with the soup is some bread.

Only 4? We manged to only finish 2!

4 Slices to be exact. But they will almost blow your brains out when u take a bite with a mixture of the garlic aioli and tomato salsa. Fresh tomato and aromatic garlic. Highly recommended. Besides, you take bite, she takes a bite.

After debating between steak & salmon and cod, Sue finally went for the Grilled Alaskan Black Cod fish.

Fresh and succulent.

The portion was huge and baby could only manage three quarters of it. The fish was fresh and succulent. It was juicy and grilled to perfection. It does not crumble when held by a fork but it is still soft in your mouth. Cod lovers please go for it.

Mine was WoW. It was air-flown in from..... somewhere.

Tender and Juicy.

220g of medium-rare succulent Steak! Eat the way to my heart! The meat was tender but it was a little too rare especially towards the middle. The taste was good but it was better with some black pepper sauce. Which the waiter will bring when you're about to finish. Ask for it !!!

The baked potato looks normal in the picture. That was before they added sour cream sprinkling some beef flakes on top. Every mouthful will bring a smile to your face. It's that delicious!!

Everything was well planned and went smoothly as Sue hoped.. i believe. It was so that the restaurant even knew it was my birthday. A couple of waiters started to gather nearby and suddenly the PA goes off with a birthday song!

Give me that cake!!!!

Free cake!!! Brownies with ice-cream. We were so full by now that we couldn't even finish that slice of brownies.

For all that i've done for the last 22 years, and i admit i did make quite a many mistakes but i think i must've done something right.

My woman.

How else can i be so lucky to have you in my arms?
