TOT 09/10
It took me 2 years to realize that i might have chosen the right uni. Missing out on the chance to participate on the 1st year was regrettable. It didn't give me something to look forward to.
Partaking in TOT or annual athletics meet in main campus this year was very exhilarating indeed. I never knew it was so competitive. It was an atmosphere that i was looking for, that i needed here in USM.
I earned zero medals this year after running in a 4x100m relay and taking my pet event long jump albeit with some mishaps. After a stupendously slow run in semi-finals, we were surprised we go into finals that afternoon.
After a change of runners, we got ready for the finals. We came in 4th! A slip on the 2nd runner was all that was needed to destroy our hopes of even getting a medal.
Long jump was an even bigger disappointment. They didn't even register me for it but at 7.30 this morning, they called me to get my ass down there for it. I knew i was in deep shit after qualifying for finals. They were good. They were very good.
Came in 4th again!! The farthest jump was 5.9m while i recorded 5.4m which was even lesser than the ones i made in sec. school.
Didnt run in 4x400m because some guy wanted to participate. Sad to say, the team was let down by him when they came in 5th in their semis hence didnt qualify.
Although I couldnt get any medals this year but i have regain the competitive spirit that was lost after form 6. My naivety that being one the best in VI, i could at least achieve smth in uni. How foolish.
Nevertheless, with a little bit of training i'm sure next year's results will be better. I have found people who can run as fast or even faster, people who also has that desire to win. Next year's TOT is what i'm looking towards to.

TOT
Always feels good when you're winning, even though only being part of the winning team and not one of the key players. Would've been better if i was one of the key(s) but i don't get to play much with such limited spare time hence, no practice.
Yada yada, much excuses i gave. Would be great if i go on to win volleyball-if there is one-. Hmmmph! That'll be a sweep.
Come 27th will be Temasya Olahraga Tahunan USM. An arena i'm confident i can shine. Too bad i was stupid enough to sign up for only 3 events; 4x100m , 4x400m and long jump.
I reckon i should've taken triple jump and/or 200m sprint as individual events too. i think if no surprises somewhere i can maybe luck a medal somehow.
Oh well, we'll find out come 27th!
GOD SPEED!

Of Eloquence & Speaking
Not the best orator, not the best speaker can convince like thus. Sometimes it's not the words said. Sometimes words are unneeded.
Actions speaks louder than any voice can make. It's eloquence smoother than any line orators can piece together.
To have done that was foolish in the eyes of a practical realist. In the eyes of another, it was totally another thing. Unable to understand, comprehend; the significance of this activity yet forced to accept.

A day of missed excitement and excitement of our own.
Having joined an UTP organized Concrete Frisbee competition, we have to get started now as it's only 3 weeks away. The first thing that is needed is of course the frisbee-shaped mould in which to make the concrete frisbee.
Hence, my skipping paintball organized by the SLK gang -which sounded like mighty fun from the stories heard- to journey to Queensbay mall in search of a frisbee.
We left campus at 1220 hrs, reaching Queensbay at 1300 hrs. Since it's already so late and we have yet to have our lunch.
DragonI comes a calling.

This is because, there's only 4 baos in 1 basket!!!! and which such big eaters sitting with me. Boy oh boy, we were so poor we had to ration it!

Greed is good....
Greed is good....
Cheng was particularly hard to control. She was greedy as ever and there was no stopping her!

If it was any bigger, it will still go into her mouth. WHOLE!
If it was any bigger, it will still go into her mouth. WHOLE!
We finished our Siu Loong Baoz

Just to pancing. =)
Just to pancing. =)
-Which was quite unsatisfactory when i compared to the ones i ate in kl. The gravy within wasnt as juicy and tasty and in meagre amount. The texture of the flour was average. But it still looks damn stim! Furthermore with vinegar and ginger on top. Yum! Yum! Yum!-
just in time for the next dish to arrive.
Shanghai Spicy Meat Dumpling!
It's quite similar to Siu Loong Bao but it contains more meat within and the sauce is to summarize, " oil plus chilli". The texture was notable softer though and it tasted good when you keep adding the sauce into it. A copious amount of sauce to add to be exact. But it beats the hell out of any dumpling you can find in Parit Buntar!
That was not the end of the story. Next in line came Deep fried chicken with Dried Chilli.

Tasty! tasty! tasty!

This was very delicious as you might tell from the picture. The chicken was fried to a golden colour and the taste wasnt too hot albeit the copious amount of dried chilli. Probably there for display purposes only.
We each ordered a bowl of la mian to top up our stomachs. I shall not comment on the capacity of both my companions.

Beef with no beef,
It looks good. But i didnt taste very good. It had beef but the soup didnt have much beef taste. And she complained about the noodles which she chose. It's not the usual long noodles you'll get but is shaped differently like ribbons.
There are no pictures of mine and cheng's because Sue was too busy chopping down her bowl of not-very-tasty-beef la mian in spicy soup. She's always reinforcing my opinion of her. ;)
After hving a sumptious meal, we had a very 'entertaining' conversation. We had a 1 hr 30 mins lunch after which the discussion lasted another 30 mins. Loads of opinions when an all-girls sch, an all-boys sch and a co-ed sch talk.
We then went on our search for the frisbee. We 1st went to Toy'r'Us but all they had was rubber ones which was flaky. We needed the solid type as the mould. Much dejected, we head to Jusco to try our luck.
We were not in luck, lady luck was probably jealous of us for the food we consumed. Tsk tsk or about to consume. ;)
Perseverance being a driver, we walked the whole of queensbay going into any fitness or toy shop that might offer us a glimmer of hope of finding that elusive frissbee.
It was not to be. We had been walking for 2 hours and yet found nothing close to what we need. We decided it was time for some encouragement.

Apa ni?

Can't see? Let's go a little closer.

You might hv caught it, you might've not.

Hmmm, ice-cream? Yes...... yes..... my precious...
TA DA!!!

HAAGEN-DAZS!!!
HAAGEN-DAZS!!!
Left(Cheng) : Green Tea, Mid(baby) : Choc & Cookies and Right(Me) : Mascarpone, passion fruit and truffles.
Haagen-Dazs provided us with much need flavour and cooling down from all the walking we've done. We pooled our resources and found enough coins to buy us one scoop each.
You should've seen the look on the cashiers face when we gave him our coins. He wasnt at all pleased. We waited 10 mins at the counter for him to finish counting the coins to the exact.
But we enjoyed every moment of it!

Cheng is all smiles.

The Noob
The Noob
Sue is all smiles.

The irritating.
Taking our time to enjoy this wonderful piece of creation, we were very satisfied. More so I because mine tasted the best. Sue's choc and cookies was well, chocolate and cookies. She has once again, proven me right. ;)
Cheng's green tea was definitely okay as green tea ice-cream are second only to black sesame ice-cream. If we're doing japan flavours only.
MINE WAS DELICIOUS. As admitted by sue after she tasted mine. It was creamy, sweet but not too and the truffles on top was just mouth-watering. It also has a tinge of sourness due to the mascarpone which after google-ing was found to be 'a very soft Italian cream cheese made from cow's milk'. The passion fruit becomes the icing. Perfecto!
We then continued our search but finally gave up. We decided henceforth to search for plates with the acceptable shape and diameter. We found a few. It was way too expensive. We ran away from Jusco.
BUT.....
Cheng ran away with some hair dry-er cum straightener. XD, sorry bout the pun.
Me and sue both:

One for you, one for me.
ran away with a fan each

Need you show me that face?
The irritating.
David is flirtatious!

Our mission to search for a frisbee as our mould failed miserably. We had a very sumptuous lunch which left us glutted up until now. Yes, we were so full we didnt even take our dinner.
Nevertheless, as i said before. Perseverance! and it paid off.
In some random shop behind old town in Parit Buntar, we found what we were looking for.

Harcore FML
Allow me to find a word to describe my feelings at this very moment.
....
...
....
Can't. The concoction of hate, despair, extreme hate, disgust and the like overwhelms me. Expecting to be greeted with cool air was as foolish as hoping for rain of gold. It wasn't warm, the damn air that smothered me once i unlocked my room door was hot.
KL was hot, here it's just bullshit. How can we be so near the damn sea yet feel so blardy hot. My backs are already sweating as i'm trying to vent my hatred on the keyboard which by the way is eff-ing dusty.
It will remain dusty, that damn thing!
I really, sincerely greatly despise is shit hole!!!!!!
ARGHHH !!!!!!! FML

Easy peezy
Got this from an email from a friend, and i found it to be rather fun. I figured i'll share it with you guys:
8 + 4 = 96
Then:
9 + 7 = ????
You'll be surprised at the simplicity of this.
Try this teaser
One for the clever people!
Please look at the math below:
They say only people with an IQ with 120 and over are able to figure this out.
If:
2 + 3 = 10
7 + 2 = 63
6 + 5 = 66
Then:
9 + 7 = ????
You'll be surprised at the simplicity of this.
